1 guide · Dreamdrive for Kling

What Kling is good at

  • Image-to-video with a start frame and an optional end frame
  • Natural motion for people, fabric and water
  • Lip Sync for talking clips and Motion Brush for directed movement
  • Elements: the same character or product across many clips

Quickstart

  1. Start from a stillUpload a start frame (and an end frame if you want a controlled transition). Image-to-video is more predictable than text-to-video.
  2. Describe the motion, not the pictureThe frame already shows the scene. Write what moves, how fast and where the camera goes.
  3. Choose mode and lengthStandard for drafts, Professional for the final. 5 s first; 10 s only when the motion needs it.
  4. Note the versionKling releases new model versions often and they behave differently. Record the version with every clip you keep.

The five most-asked questions

What is the difference between Standard and Professional mode?
Professional is the higher-quality, slower and costlier option; Standard is quicker and cheaper for drafts. Explore in Standard, then re-run the shots you have chosen in Professional.
Can Kling use a start and an end frame?
Yes. Upload a start frame and, optionally, an end frame, and Kling animates the transition between them. Keep both frames in the same aspect ratio and lighting.
How long can a Kling clip be?
Clips are 5 or 10 seconds per generation, with extension options in the interface. Longer stories are cut from several clips rather than one long generation.
What are Kling Elements?
Elements let you upload reference images of a subject (a person, a product, a pet) and reuse it across generations so it stays recognisable. Use clean, well-lit references from more than one angle.
Why does my clip ignore the prompt?
Image-to-video follows the frame first and the text second. Shorten the prompt to one or two motions, remove contradictions and lower the creativity-style slider if your version has one.
